Dayton
Motor Wheel

This is my 1916 Dayton Motor Wheel that just finished its restoration. They are very rare with only four of them still known. Notice the unusual front fender that is actually a leaf spring. They used a Smith Motor for the power. They came with and without a clutch. This model has the clutch. They are very unusual with the front wheel being driven by the motor. I owe a lot of thanks to Dave Bagne for restoring the motor and a lot of other things including the assembly, Jack Hurt for the fantastic mag work. He is the best. Tom Marshell also helped. These guys are the very best in their fields and I could not have done it without them. Thanks again guys.
